Week 24

image.png“Success is not determined by the outcome. The outcome is the result of having already decided that you are successful to begin with.”

― T.F. Hodge

MKMMA: “If you quit on the process, you are quitting on the result.” ―Idowu Koyenikan

i particularly value the last sentence in this quote – because it can change everything about my strategy and outcome:

“All great masters are chiefly distinguished by the power of adding a second, a third, and perhaps a fourth step in a continuous line. Many a man/woman had taken the first step. With every additional step you enhance immensely the value of your first.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

My goodness how approp Is this quote to the MKMMA experience:

“My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my guide is reliable, my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate… at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in a maze of mediocrity. I won’t give up, shut up, let up, or slow up.”~ Robert Moorehead

And finally:

“Confidence isn’t optimism or pessimism, and it’s not a character attribute. It’s the expectation of a positive outcome.” ~ Rosabeth Moss Kanter

I take that one step further:  by designing and programming the desired outcome –  everyone including yourself, knows what needs to be done to make it all happen.  No more wishy-washy.

It’s still kind of fascinating that every week all these quotes drop into my lap – they are only appropriate for MKMMA, but exactly where we are in the process.

This week’s picture is one exception that I didn’t take. My sister-in-law took it on a dive trip to Fiji. She got that picture and then had to sit in a hotel bathroom for 3 hours and wait for a cyclone to Pass thru

My small claim to fame is that I have set foot on every continent on this planet. My chief aim is to stay well. Very well. Quite literally, from soups to notes, from supplements to Sonos, I do everything I can find out to keep my cells happy. Very happy. This year I took on support of Naapok BeadWorks. Featuring Beadart of the Masai women of northern Tanzania. Some 60 women, and their children, receive stipends from the sale of their bead art. I love helping people who are doing their very best to help themselves; and it's so feeds my soul to play with all the spectacular colors.

  1. If you quit on the process you are quitting on the results!! What an awesome quote … A bit like if you want to drive to New York from Las Vegas … You gotta get in the car and drive! Or you’re not going to get there. I really love that quote. Thank you!
